Recommended Reading: the Phantom Stranger

I'm preparing a post on my love of the Starman Omnibus but in the meantime I thought I'd link to a great example of short-form comic storytelling I found on scans_daily. It comes from an issue of Secret Origins that contained three different origins for the mysterious Phantom Stranger. Like the Joker, the Stranger has a number of contradictory backstories, and it's generally left up to the reader to pick the one he or she likes best. But I feel this story works well even if you don't know anything about the Phantom Stranger. Maybe it's because I like the "man vs. God" theme. So without further ado I present, ...And Men Shall Call Him Stranger by Paul Levitz and Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez!
